For Your Tomorrow - We Gave Our Today
Welcome to Beth's Website
This site is dedicated to honoring the service & sacrifice of the Men and Women of the following West Coast Towns of South Australia
Bookabie, Boree, Calca, Charra, Coorabie, Denial Bay, Fowlers Bay, Koonibba, Maltee, Merghiny,
Murat Bay (now Ceduna), Penong, Smoky Bay, Streaky Bay, Waranda, Yalata.
The year 1914 would see Australia forever changed as World War 1 was declared and young men flocked to the cities enlisting in the Australian Imperial Force after Australia declared her interest on the 4th August.
For Australia the cost was high, of 416, 809 men who enlisted, 58,961 were killed and a further 166,811 were wounded, gassed or taken prisoner.
So I thank those who served and Honor those who made the Supreme Sacrifice
